Cranberry sauce was never a dish I paid any attention to as a child or young adult because it was always served from a can. It didn't matter if you were at grandma's, Aunt Suzie's, or the school potluck Thanksgiving, it was always the canned version that looked like a giant blog of beet jello.
I can say without a doubt it's now one of my favorite parts of the Thanksgiving meal and no matter who we are celebrating with I always bring this dish with me. I can also say without a doubt that this is the easiest recipe to make and I will never understand why it ever got substituted for the beet jello blog from the can.
This recipe is from my Path to Healthy Hormones Cookbook, where you can find 74 other delicious and simple recipes that I use in my meal planning each and every week. I have a printed copy in a 3-ring binder and my kids love to search through it to both request meals for the upcoming week and cook up various recipes themselves!
I hope you enjoy this dish as much as our family does.
